Storage VPS Nepal

Storage VPS in Nepal for backups, archives and media

A virtual server sized around disk instead of CPU — so backups, archives, media libraries, and private file clouds cost a fraction of what the same capacity costs elsewhere, with full root access and your choice of operating system.

Tell us how much capacity you need

Storage VPS plans are configured to order, so you only pay for the capacity you actually use. Send us the size you need, how you plan to reach it, and your billing preference, and we will come back with a price and a setup plan.

Storage that is worth the money

Choose a Storage VPS when the job is holding data rather than serving a busy application — the same server control, sized for capacity instead of cores.

Storage You Can Actually Afford

Storage VPS plans trade some CPU and RAM for far more disk, so archives, backups, and media libraries cost a fraction of what the same capacity costs on a compute VPS.

A Real Backup Destination

Point Restic, Borg, Duplicati, rsync, or Veeam at a server you control, with SSH keys and retention rules you decide instead of an opaque cloud bucket.

Your Own Private Cloud

Run Nextcloud, ownCloud, Seafile, or MinIO to keep company files in Nepal, on infrastructure your team administers end to end.

Predictable Monthly Cost

A flat monthly price for the capacity you pick, with no per-request charges and no egress surprises at the end of the month.

What people run on Storage VPS

If the workload is mostly writing and reading large files, a storage plan gets you far more room for the same monthly spend.

Offsite backup target

Keep a second copy of production databases, servers, and workstations away from your primary host, on infrastructure you control.

Media and archive library

Store photo, video, and audio libraries that outgrew local disks, and stream or sync them to the people who need access.

Nextcloud or file server

Run a private file-sharing platform for your team with your own domain, SSL, retention rules, and user accounts.

Log and data retention

Hold application logs, analytics exports, and compliance records for as long as your policy requires without paying hot-storage rates.

Seedbox and sync node

Move large datasets, mirrors, and release artefacts with generous capacity and unmetered internal transfer.

Database dump archive

Keep long-running nightly dumps and point-in-time snapshots that would crowd out a smaller compute VPS.

Need processing power instead?

Storage plans are built for capacity, not for busy databases or CPU-heavy applications. If your workload needs fast NVMe and dedicated cores, a compute VPS is the better fit — and we are happy to say so.

What makes our Storage VPS practical?

Storage should be cheap, boring, and dependable. We focus on capacity, access, and a restore plan you have actually tested.

Capacity is the point

These plans are sized around disk rather than CPU. If your workload is mostly reading and writing large files, you stop paying for cores you never use.

Still a full server

You get root access, your choice of operating system, and the ability to install whatever backup or sync tooling your workflow needs.

Backup habits from day one

We help you plan retention, snapshot cadence, encryption at rest, and a restore test — a backup nobody has restored is only a hope.

Sensible for Nepali teams

Keeping company data on infrastructure billed in NPR, with local support, avoids currency surprises and slow overseas support queues.

Room to grow

Start with the capacity you need this year and move to a larger plan when the archive grows, without re-architecting anything.

Honest about the trade-off

A storage plan is not the right home for a busy database or a CPU-heavy app. We will point you at a compute VPS when that is the better fit.

Storage VPS questions

Clear answers for customers comparing storage plans, compute VPS, and cloud object storage.

What is a Storage VPS?

A Storage VPS is a virtual server sized around disk capacity rather than CPU and RAM. You get the same root access and operating system choice as a regular VPS, but with far more storage for the money — which suits backups, archives, media libraries, and file servers.

How is it different from a normal VPS?

A regular VPS balances CPU, RAM, and a smaller fast disk for running applications. A Storage VPS gives you a much larger disk with modest CPU and RAM, so it is ideal for holding data rather than serving busy applications or databases.

What is the Storage VPS price in Nepal?

Pricing depends on the capacity, billing term, and operating system you choose. Select a plan above to see the live monthly or annual price before checkout, or contact us for a capacity you do not see listed.

Can I use it as a backup server?

Yes, that is one of the most common uses. You can point Restic, BorgBackup, Duplicati, rclone, rsync, or a Veeam agent at the server over SSH and control your own retention and encryption.

Can I run Nextcloud or a file server on it?

Yes. With full root access you can install Nextcloud, ownCloud, Seafile, MinIO, Samba, or NFS and run a private file platform on your own domain with SSL.

Is the storage NVMe or HDD?

Storage plans typically use high-capacity drives rather than the NVMe used on compute plans, which is what makes the larger capacity affordable. Throughput suits sequential transfers such as backups and media; contact us if your workload needs sustained random I/O.

Do you take backups of my Storage VPS?

The server is yours to administer, so the data on it is your responsibility. We can add optional snapshot protection and help you plan a retention and restore-testing routine — keeping the only copy of anything on a single server is never a safe plan.

Can I choose Linux or Windows?

Yes. You can select a Linux image such as Ubuntu or Debian, or a Windows Server image during configuration. Windows licensing can add an extra recurring fee.

Can I upgrade the capacity later?

Yes. You can move to a larger plan as your archive grows. Contact support before you get close to full so the migration can be scheduled without downtime pressure.

Give your data a home

Pick the capacity you need now and grow into a larger plan as the archive fills.
